Michael and Colleen took their vows on Saturday, December 16th at the Connecting Point Church of the Nazarine in Denair, CA.
Michael serves as the Jr. Vice Commandant and Colleen is a member of Marine Corps League, Detachment #019.

The Marine Corps Reserve Toys-for-Tots program continues its tradition of gathering & distributing toys for deserving children of Stanislaus County.
WALMART - KAT COUNTRY 103 - 4X4 IN MOTION and the MARINE CORPS RESERVES held events at Walmart Stores throughout the county (see our Photo Gallery).
Distribution of Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in our community has already begun, and the expressions of joy on the faces of our county children are priceless!

On Saturday Sept. 2nd the 3rd Annual Toys for Tots Car Show was held in the sweltering August heat. The Show was hosted by Toys R Us and held in their parking lot on Sisk Road. The Show was open to all vehicles: Vintage, hot rods, rat rods, muscle cars, custom machines, low riders, historic military vehicles, trucks, 4 wheel drives, etc. and the Show hit a record of 87 cars registered.
All proceeds benefit the Toys for Tots Program. Funds raised will help to purchase toys for needy children in Stanislaus County. Last year the program passed out more than 15,000 toys to more than 6,000 needy children.

Organized by local veterans the Modesto Veteran's Day Parade included marching bands, military vehicles, classic cars, and civic groups marching down 10th Street. The parade headed up to Graceada Park where a program and presentations took place at Mancini Bowl.

Marines, family and friends gathered at the Stanislaus County Veterans Center to celebrate the 242nd Birthday of our beloved Marine Corps.
The ceremonies commenced with a welcome from Det#019 Commandant, Mike Pelucca, a salute to the Flag and the singing of the Marine Corps Hymn.
Congress Jeff Denham addressed the attendees and wished all a Happy Marine Corps Birthday. After dinner and the traditional sword cutting of the cake, we enjoyed the presentation by Duke Cooper and our guest speaker Rudy Molina on the true story behind the Movie "Born on the 4th of July".
The evening ended with the distribution of various donated gifts and awards.

Wednesday, Oct. 25th
STUFFING EVENT:
Volunteers helped Stuff over 200 Backpacks with essentials and toiletries which were handed out at the Stand Down.
Thursday, Oct. 26th
VETERANS STAND DOWN
Food, Backpacks, Library Cards, Medical Care and extensive Veteran Services were offered for Veterans without homes.

The Scottish Highland games, hosted by The Caledonian Club of San Francisco were held over the Labor Day weekend in record heat!
Thanks were extended to all competitors, entertainers, volunteers and everyone else who attended the 152nd consecutive Scottish Highland Gathering and Games at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton. We'll be back again next year on Labor Day Weekend.

Modesto, CA - On July 10, officers from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) Fresno Field Office presided over a naturalization ceremony at the new Veterans Center where 150 local immigrants will become U.S. citizens. Rep. Jeff Denham (R-CA – 10th District) gave the keynote speech and Fresno Field Office Director Lynn Quan Feldman administered the oath

Modesto CA - The downtown parade kicked off this year’s Fourth of July celebration. Since 1874, the city of Modesto has celebrated the 4th of July with a parade through downtown. This year was no exception.
Detachment #019 members stood duty at the Marine Corps League and the Toys 4 Tots Tents and led the Honor Guard in the ceremonial raising of the Flag.
