4th ANNUAL VETERANS STAND DOWN

Thursday, October 31, 2019

09:00  -  15:00  hrs.


 The 4th Annual Veterans Stand Down is being held at Graceada Park, Modesto CA.


The Stand Down for homeless veterans is modeled after the Stand Down concept used during the Vietnam War providing a safe retreat for units returning from combat operations.


An array of Services and Support will be provided to all Homeless and Low Income Veterans including Food, Clothing, Employment Services, VA Healthcare, VA Claim Services, Veteran Service Officer assistance, Pet Care, Dental Care, Showers, and many others.


The Marine Corps League, Det 019 will be distributing Backpacks for Life filled with essentials to help our Veterans through the coming winter months.

 The Marine Corps League, Det. 019 is honored to host our 2019 USMC Birthday Ball celebrating the 244th USMC Birthday.


The official Marine Corps Birthday is November 10, 1775 - that’s the date on which a Continental Congress resolution directed that two battalions of Marines be raised. The first recruiting office opened up in Tun Tavern, Philadelphia.

Yes... the Marine Corps was born in a Bar.
