The Center for the Arts presented the Marine Band's 2019 concert tour at the Atherton Theater, San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, CA.
This performance of the US Marine Corps, Presidents Own Band tour continued the tradition begun in 1891 under Director John Philip Sousa. This performance was by the same musicians who perform at the White House and ended with a rousing redition of anthems of each Military Organization, with the entire performance capped by "The Marine Corps Hymn".

MCL019 Members, Volunteers and Staff of the Veterans Employment/Stand Down Committee helped stuff Backpacks donated by Backpacks for Life. Generous Veteran Organizations, Private industry including Gallo, AAA, Bombas Sox, Stanislaus County, the Veterans Foundation and many others, joined with individuals from our Community in providing these Essentials needed by our Homeless Veterans for the coming winter.
Our Flyer listed the Essentials needed for our Homeless Veterans, and with few exceptions, each backpack was filled with these items donated at the Drop Box in the lobby of the Veterans Center, or purchased with generous Cash Donations.
This year we also prepared over 25 backpacks with additional specialty items for our Female Veterans thanks to donations from Blue Star Moms.
We plan to distribute all of these Backpacks at our MCL019 PopUp Tent staffed by members of the Marine Corps League, Modesto Detachment #019 at the 4th Annual Veterans Stand Down at Graceada Park on Oct. 31, 2019.
